Supporting you to find a different way through life’s difficulties
Personal counselling that fits your life
Why somatic therapy is different
Most talking therapies work through the mind. We talk about what happened, we think it through, we try to make sense of it. Somatic therapy starts somewhere else: the body.
Trauma and chronic stress don't just live in our thoughts. They show up as tension, a racing heart or a nervous system stuck in "on." You can understand a difficult experience fully and still feel it in your shoulders, your stomach or your sleep. Somatic work pays attention to that, using the body as a doorway to change rather than only asking what happened.
Sessions might include noticing where tension sits as you speak, learning to recognise overwhelm before it takes hold, or using breath and grounding to help your nervous system settle. It's gentle, paced to you and never about pushing through. The aim is for healing to be felt, not just understood.
I’m an integrative therapist combining the person-centred model, somatic trauma therapy and acceptance commitment therapy, with gentle nature-based and creative elements. I provide a warm, non-judgemental space to help you reconnect with your body, clarify values and take meaningful steps.
We move at your pace, using presence, grounding somatic practices and ACT tools to ease distress and change unhelpful patterns. Sessions can be walking outdoors and simple creative exercises to deepen insight and support practical change. If walking isn’t your thing, we can meet online or in my therapy room.
Working together
Therapy
A walking session starts the same way any session does, with a conversation. The difference is you're moving through green space rather than sitting across from each other in a room.
Walking side by side can feel less exposing than eye contact, which often makes it easier to open up. The rhythm of walking, fresh air and changing scenery can also help settle a busy mind or an anxious body, so thoughts and feelings surface more naturally as you go.
Sessions follow your pace, literally and otherwise. You choose how far and how fast, and there's no pressure to fill every silence. If walking doesn't suit you on a given day, or the weather has other ideas, meeting online or in a therapy room is always an option instead.

Supervision
I offer supervision to qualified and student counsellors. I find that with my somatic training and ACT training I support my supervisees to focus on how their work is felt within themselves to create an awareness of the impact of their work. Supervision can also be done outside, online or face to face in a room.
Equine Assisted Psychotherapy is an a modality which I have worked in for the last three years so am able to offer effective and ethical supervision to those working in the EAP field.
Ready to Talk?
Booking a session is quick and easy—choose a time and we'll meet in person or online. I also have a room if walking doesn’t feel right and you would rather meet face to face.
Therapy That Puts You First
I offer warm, evidence-based counselling that meets you exactly where you are today. No judgment, just support and genuine care.
My work experience has mainly been supporting others either as a nurse or in social care. I trained as a therapeutic counsellor 8 years ago and have been building on my knowledge ever since. I gained valuable experience working in mental health in the NHS and now currently also work in equine assisted psychotherapy. My passion is supporting people who have experienced trauma and women struggling with life’s challenges and changes. I recognise that in today’s world of social media and constantly being busy, many people are experiencing burnout. This is an area that I am keen to explore with clients and help them feel more present and grounded. I have trained in Somatic Trauma Therapy with Babette Rothschild and I also work with Acceptance Commitment Therapy as well as being a person-centred therapist.
I work with young people from the age of 10 and adults.
